As expected, they offer an o-ring sealed, nitrogen-purged, waterproof (to 6.6 feet for 5 minutes) and fog-proof metal body. All feature an easy to handle, compact body with an all-metal housing. The ED version stands out at higher powers or when digiscoping. The rubberized full-body focusing ring is easy to use even with mittens on. Expect superb performance, fine color-fidelity and good contrast. The ED models utilize Extra-low Dispersion Glass to minimize chromatic aberration.
